What's it about?
Theater ASOU presents "Die Geggis," a imaginative story about prejudices, boundaries, and an unusual friendship. Based on the popular children's book by Mira Lobe, the play uses humor and movement to tell how two children discover that differences do not have to be a reason to avoid each other. Who are the Geggis? There are two types: the Felsgeggis and the Sumpfgeggis. Sumpfgeggis are green and can swim, while Felsgeggis are red and can climb. Never has a Sumpfgeggi seen a Felsgeggi, and vice versa. Despite this, the two groups live in hostility. But one day, the Geggi children Gil and Rokko meet. When they get lost, they not only find each other but also discover that many things can be very different from what they thought. An engaging and imaginative theater experience with acting and live music that invites laughter, wonder, and reflection. "Die Geggis" playfully addresses how to shed prejudices, overcome boundaries, and approach each other, showing how an unusual encounter can lead to a great friendship. A lovingly staged children's theater for young audiences from 4 years old.
