What's it about?

The workshop is directly inspired by "DINNER IS SERVED", a solo of contemporary dance and physical theater by Francesca De Girolamo, in which the preparation of a Carbonara serves as a metaphor for societal expectations, judgments, and the search for one's own identity. Carbonara is a dish that triggers debates, opinions, and unwritten rules: Who is allowed to call it "authentic"? Which ingredients are allowed? To what extent do we feel entitled to modify a recipe? Using the body and movement, the workshop uses these questions to reflect on the mechanisms that determine our daily lives. Each participant is invited to explore the concepts of tradition, error, and change, discovering how their favorite recipe can reveal who we are.
