
The 56th Styrian Wine Week: Five days full of wine, indulgence, culture, and authentic Styrian joie de vivre! Leibnitz, August 2026 - The 56th Styrian Wine Week invites you once again to Styria's largest and most traditional wine festival from Friday, August 21st to Tuesday, August 25th, 2026. For five days, the Wine Week grounds at Marenzipark in Leibnitz will be a meeting point for wine lovers from Austria and abroad. New program highlights bring a breath of fresh air. For the first time, Wine Royalty Antonia Hiebaum, together with presenter Mario Fellner, will roam the grounds as a roving reporter duo. They will visit winemakers at their wine stands, ask exciting questions about their businesses, grape varieties, and wines, and bring the people behind the excellent wines into the spotlight with charm and humor. Festive opening with the crowning of the new Wine Royalty. Already on the opening day, Friday, August 21st, a particularly emotional program highlight of the Styrian Wine Week awaits you. The reigning Styrian Wine Royalty will bid farewell and hand over the crown to their successors. With the festive crowning, a special time begins for the new Styrian Royalty, during which they will represent Styrian wine and thus an entire region at numerous events and appointments. New experience stand with wine quiz and raffle. Supported by Österreich Wein Marketing (ÖWM), the Styrian Wine Week will present an information and experience stand for the first time this year. A wine quiz, exciting interviews, and a raffle with attractive prizes await all visitors there. Family Sunday - a whole day for young and old. Sunday offers many highlights, starting at 9:00 AM with a delightful breakfast from our farmers, a pumpkin seed oil scrambled egg for a good cause at the Round Table 12 stand, before heading to the hobby artists' market in Marenzipark. From 11:00 AM, we invite you to a Frühschoppen (morning pint) with the Weinblüten Blaspartie, and in the afternoon, AK-Steiermark invites you to Family Sunday with Beppo's Danceband and a professional children's program! This makes Sunday once again the ideal day out for the whole family. Monday: Meeting point for business. Monday is dedicated to business, where entrepreneurs from the region meet for personal discussions. The Styrian Wine Week provides the perfect setting for exchanging ideas in a relaxed atmosphere - accompanied by excellent Styrian wines. A fixed part of Monday evening is also the annual traditional costume fashion show. The diversity of Styrian traditional costume is the focus here. Traditional and modern costumes are presented, showing how versatile and contemporary fashion can be. The fashion show combines tradition and current style and is a popular program highlight of the Wine Week every year. New in 2026: Tuesday: Day of Agriculture. With the Day of Agriculture on Tuesday, excellent and award-winning agricultural businesses from the Leibnitz district, as well as the wineries awarded for SAON Austrian Wine, are in the spotlight. On the also new indulgence mile, there will then also be the opportunity to taste individual excellent products from our farmers. This underlines the Styrian Wine Week's close connection with agriculture and viticulture as one of the supporting pillars in Styria. Diverse indulgence in its most tasteful form.
