Simone Kopmajer & Band - Home for Christmas
What's it about?
As magical as ever, but better than ever, the internationally renowned and versatile artist also presents herself visually in a new look: Jazz singer and composer Simone Kopmajer once again manages to give a modern twist to well-known classics such as "Let It Snow" or "Süßer die Glocken nie klingen" and many more with her expressive and at the same time sensitive voice on her new CHRISTMAS ALBUM – without neglecting the traditional and original. The popular fusion of jazz and folk music among fans reaches a new musical level in the different arrangements. Not least, this is also due to the first collaboration with an Austrian children's choir or her very individual interpretation of the Erzherzog-Johann-Jodler with Herbert Pixner. "Home for Christmas" was recorded in New York together with pianist John Di Martino (US), Japanese bassist Noriko Ueda, Vienna keyboarder Geri Schuller, Austrian drummer Reinhardt Winkler, and American saxophonist Aaron Heick (Paul Simon, Lady Gaga). The arrangements are by Grammy-nominated musician John Di Martino and are complemented on the album by traditional folk musicians from Styria. Of course, duets with carefully selected outstanding artists such as Ana Milva Gomes, Anja Om, and Viktor Gernot are also featured this time. An album full of great feelings and musical highlights. Let yourself be enchanted by Simone Kopmajer & her musicians in the pre-Christmas season.
