What's it about?

The pioneering fashion designer Emilie Flöge and her well-known life partner Gustav Klimt. This solo piece, based on over 400 letters and postcards, achieved international success (including in New York, Tokyo, and Sydney) and was performed at the Klimt Villa on the 100th anniversary of Gustav Klimt's death (1862-1918). Emilie Flöge (1874-1952) was the life partner and muse of the famous artist. She worked as an independent designer and ran a successful fashion salon in Vienna. The focus of the play is on the intense, lifelong connection between the two most prominent figures of Viennese Modernism.
