Reading with Joesi Prokopetz at the Brauhaus

Reading with Joesi Prokopetz at the Brauhaus

Wednesday 21 October · 19:00GH "Zum Brauhaus" Fam. Großschedl · steiermark

What's it about?

When Joesi Prokopetz learned in 1974 about the hundredth birthday of the Vienna Central Cemetery, he developed the lyrics for the song "Es lebe der Zentralfriedhof" (Long Live the Central Cemetery), which Wolfgang Ambros made into a cult song. After his successful crime comedies "Hofer" and "Die Blume aus dem Gemeindebau" (The Flower from the Council Housing), Prokopetz now returns to the 1970s and tells in "Es lebe der Zentralfriedhof" about clumsy police officers, mysterious occultists, and clueless hippies. A humorous piece of contemporary history in crime story form, written by one of the most original and funniest voices in the country. Tickets are available at the bookstore. Price €15.
