A fortune-teller told her so. But a few days later, Vreni is where she never wanted to be: in the afterlife. Things there are no less bureaucratic than on Earth. God and Peter are away on vacation. So, two overwhelmed heavenly officials send Vreni back to Earth for the time being. Until God and Peter return from their holiday, Vreni is to find the meaning of life on Earth. On her journey, Vreni encounters a highly bizarre angelic woman, a domineering Greek healer, an eccentric fortune-teller, a psychologist in a trance, a narrow-minded medical doctor, and many other wonderfully quirky characters, from whom the loving-naive hairdresser hopes to get final answers. Vreni cannot believe it. Are all healers really money-hungry? Priests mainly sex-obsessed? Is there really a loving God and life after death? Or are they all just cooking with (Christmas) water? The fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gerda Rogers, Udo Jürgens, and Marcel Reich-Ranicki also appear in the show, as well as many other things, initially belong to the realm of the supernatural... "Esoderrisch" is a bit like riding a roller coaster – colorful, exciting, and screamingly funny.
