Dr. Jan-Uwe Rogge: How Parenting Is Guaranteed to Fail The discussions surrounding parenting are controversial and vivid: Are children tyrants or pitiable creatures? Are they being supported or overwhelmed? Is the 'blame' on the parents or on kindergarten and school? Should we parent in a attachment- or needs-oriented way? – Well, what now?! Using ironic and humorous examples from real life, Dr. Jan-Uwe Rogge shows parents why many of the common advice 'hits' leave children often with emotional bruises and behavioral issues. He also demonstrates how parents can provide children with what they truly need through a partnership-based approach. Mainly because parents and professionals are people and should be people children can look up to, but also challenge.
