Maria Bill sings Edith Piaf & Jacques Brel
What's it about?
Maria Bill performs on May 26, 2027, at the forumKLOSTER Gleisdorf and dedicates herself with her unmistakable stage presence to two of the greatest icons of French chanson: Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. Together with musicians Krzysztof Dobrek (accordion) and Michael Hornek (piano), she interprets their timeless songs in the original language and connects them with moving stories from her life. With her smoky voice, great theatrical intensity, and passionate interpretation, Maria Bill revives the chansons full of longing, joy of life, and melancholy. An extraordinary concert evening is created, which tells the moving life stories of Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel as impressively as their timeless songs – emotionally, authentically, and full of musical power.
