The long night of Dixieland With just one ticket, true Dixieland fans can get up close and personal with the best Dixieland musicians in Europe in just one night. On one hand, there's the great "Hot Jazz Band" from Hungary, who cultivate traditional Dixieland jazz like no other band. They are famous for their stylistic qualities. As soon as their concert in the Frank-Stronach-Saal ends, the audience flocks en masse to the foyer, where they can not only refresh themselves at the bar, but also be captivated by "Nanna Carling's Swing Band" (SWE). These energetic young musicians from Sweden show that Dixieland is no longer a "domain of old men". It's going to be wild. Finally, another highlight of a completely different kind follows in the Frank-Stronach-Saal: Ken Aoki (JPN), the Speedy Gonzales of banjo playing, makes his debut at the Dixie- & Swingfestival, and with a large orchestra, the Prohibition Orchestra under the direction of Nobuo Watanabe. It would not be surprising if some musicians in the adjacent "Dejavu" turn the Dixieland night into a Dixieland day.
