What's it about?

The grand Dixieland gala for the anniversary: "50 Years of Very Old Stoariegler Dixielandband" There aren't many bands that have remained true to their music and their fans for 50 years: The "Circles" from Passail, "The Who" and the "Rolling Stones" and the "Very Old Stoariegler Dixielandband". It was in March 1976 when some strange figures appeared on Stoarieglberg in Fürstenfeld. Musicians lying around were invited to form a Dixieland band. The spark was the TV show "Fattys Salon", where Fatty George (clarinet), Oscar Klein (trumpet) and other virtuosos fulfilled viewer requests live. In short, Johannes Hödl founded the band, which, after long discussions, became "Stoariegler Blechmusi", had an "Old" prefixed by founding trumpeter Franz Landgraf (+), and in the following years, due to the risk of confusion with "Stoakoglern", finally became the "Old Stoariegler Dixielandband" and from 2016 mutated into the "Very Old Stoariegler Dixielandband". They won the Styrian band competition (1977), played with Fatty George (1979), were live guests on Musikantenstadl and produced records, CDs and funny anecdotes. With these and some very explicit Dixieland classics by Louis Armstrong, Chris Barber, Sidney Bechet or Louis Prima (Hello Dolly, Icecream, Oh When The Saints, Struttin With Some Barbecue, Yes Sir, Honeysuckle Rose), the founding fathers of the "Very Old Stoariegler Dixielandband" tour the country for their anniversary, delighting and entertaining their audience as they did back in March 1976.
