The Umbilical Brothers - Speedmouse - 25th Anniversary Tour
What's it about?
THE UMBILICAL BROTHERS (AU) "Speedmouse - 25th Anniversary Tour" They are back, and with a bang: The Umbilical Brothers are bringing their probably most cult-like show back to the stage. Celebrated internationally, touring in countless countries - and described by the Sydney Morning Herald as "Marcel Marceau on very good drugs" - The Umbilical Brothers are among the most extraordinary comedy acts worldwide. Several BAFTAs, an Emmy, the Critics’ Choice Award in Edinburgh, and the Helpmann Award for best comedy performers speak for themselves. With six programs in over 40 countries, they have created their own unique form of physical, absurdly precise comedy. And now they are celebrating the comeback of their greatest success: "Speedmouse". "Speedmouse" delivers everything that makes the duo unique: a fast-paced mix of live action, rewind, slow motion, and frame-by-frame moments. Two artists, one microphone - and a movement repertoire for which there is simply no comparison. The Australian comedy classic has received five-star reviews, numerous awards, and inspired the TV series "The Upside Down Show". The DVD not only went multi-platinum but also achieved cult status worldwide. For many comedians and fans in Australia, "Speedmouse" is simply part of growing up. Live, however, it’s a whole different league. So be there when Dave, Shane, and their mysterious roadie invite you again: laugh, marvel - and keep asking yourself how they actually make a living with this.
