What's it about?
Registration opens from August 1, 2026. Together with specially trained truffle dogs, we go on a search for hidden treasures in the forest soil. Truffle experts provide information about this culinary rarity and give exciting insights into the forest ecosystem. Afterwards, the Graz truffles are tasted at the Purberg in the Hilmteichschlössl, tossed in truffle butter with Montasio ravioli (including a drink), where our event concludes. More information: - Duration approximately 3 hours for truffle hiking and tasting. - Children can only participate when accompanied by an adult guardian. - Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. - In case of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel the hike for safety reasons. - Please do not bring dogs for truffle hunting, as the truffle dogs may be disturbed, which can affect the success of the search. - The hike mostly takes place through open terrain and on unpaved paths and hiking trails. - Participation in the truffle hike is at your own risk. Meeting point: Waldschule Graz, Hilmteichstraße 108, 8010 Graz. Public transport: Tram line 1 – stop Hilmteich. Car: no direct access; paid parking available in the surrounding streets.
