Guided Emergency Passage Hike

What's it about?

The emergency passage at the foot of the Stoderzinken, in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Hallstatt–Dachstein-Salzkammergut, serves as a route from Gröbming to the higher-altitude huts on the eastern Dachstein plateau. The footpath, accessible only on foot, was used by mountain farmers, packmen, and the workers of the charcoal burners. The impressive gorge with cliffs up to 60 meters high and the historic rock carvings offers visitors an aura of mystery and mysticism. A taxi takes you to the Rosemialm, from where you hike through pristine natural landscapes and the eerie rock crevice, always downhill, to the Lend parking lot in den Öfen (Gröbming-Winkl, Kneipp facility).
