Friedenslichtaktion (FF Hoheneich)
What's it about?
The Friedenslichtaktion in Königsdorf is centered around a traditional gesture of hope: the Peace Light from Bethlehem, which is brought to Austria annually by Austrian scouts and distributed to communities. The event features a solemn ceremony with a procession, during which all attendees can light the candle and take the light home — as a symbol of peace, reflection, and compassion. The action invites people of all ages to pause together and experience a moment of silence and community. Families, children, and all interested individuals are warmly welcome to participate in this ecumenical tradition.
