For 45 years, the well-known male choir Bolschoi Don Kosaken, composed exclusively of opera soloists, has performed across Europe under the direction of Prof. Petja Houdjakov. Singing in the 'Cossack' tradition is characterized by high tenor voices (falsetto) and deep basses (Basso profondo), which blend into a balanced, mystical sound.
