Cyanotype, also known as iron blue print, is an old photographic printing process. For this, papers or textiles are coated with a light-sensitive solution that, under UV exposure, forms the water-insoluble dye Prussian Blue. Due to its characteristic blue color, this process is also called blue printing. It produces a light- and water-stable print of the previously created image. During the workshop, participants will learn about the history of cyanotype and have the opportunity to expose various image carriers.
