What's it about?

On Friday, September 25, 2026, Joseph Haydn Square and the adjacent park in Bad Tatzmannsdorf will be transformed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. into a large experiential area for children, families, guests, and all interested parties. Under the motto "participate – try out – experience. Shape the future," more than 25 interactive stations await discovery. Instead of traditional information booths, the day encourages hands-on activities: trying out, smelling, hearing, feeling, playing, and moving. From smell stations to intoxication goggles The topics range from mobility and traffic to energy, water, and circular economy, as well as nature, biodiversity, regionality, movement, and health – all conveyed mainly through playful methods. At the smell station with the soapbox, a good sense of smell is required, while at "Safe on the road," participants must recognize and correctly assign various sounds. Adults can test how difficult a simple throwing game becomes with intoxication goggles.
