For about two decades, interest in the Jewish history and culture of the Bohemian lands has been growing. This also brings the diverse, historically multi-ethnic character of this region more into focus. The history of Jewish life in Bohemia and Moravia is an essential part of Central European development from the 16th century to the present day. The focus is on both the relationships between Jewish and non-Jewish population groups and life in the provinces - away from the major centers of Prague, Brno, and Ostrava. The themed evening illuminates this multifaceted Jewish heritage between Prague and Nikolsburg.
