With songs full of grooving musicality and clever lyrics, Michael Krebs has been delighting his audience for over 20 years. Watching how openly, straightforwardly, and quick-wittedly the songwriter approaches his concerts makes you grin widely and makes it clear: the live stage is his element. But even this notoriously good-humored guy at the piano now has doubts. Is his once-lauded authenticity still bearable in times of survival-of-the-fakest? Why does everyone think of belly, legs, buttocks, and not the brain when they hear the word "problem zone"? Where to emigrate if the right-wingers are already everywhere? And above all: is the future even still a solution? Fortunately, no one expects an answer to such complex questions anymore, thanks to TikTok-shredded attention spans. Maybe Michael Krebs will give one anyway. As long as we can laugh about ourselves together, gloom-mongering is certainly not an option. You don't have to be the brightest light on the dark web to get that. "I no longer believe in humanity, but still believe in humanity," says Michael Krebs. And so his concerts are not ones that make you forget the world outside for two hours. Much better: they make you see the world with different eyes. And that feels good. So good that you have to exaggerate not to lie.
