You will be accompanied through the entire house and gain in-depth insights into the history, significance, and production of this fascinating garment, which is one of the oldest traditional costumes in the Alpine region.From elaborate gold and silk embroideries to the production of the deep black glossy linen pleats – on the historical machines of our workshop – you will learn how traditional knowledge, precise craftsmanship, and living culture are passed on in the Bregenzerwald to this day.Look forward to an informative tour that impressively combines craftsmanship, architecture, and regional history. On display for the first time this year: a fascinating special exhibition entitled "I'm going to embroider!" which tells of skilled hands and ancient techniques that weave together history, identity, and beauty.
