After an inspiring introduction to the meaning, extraction, and application of the color blue, your creative journey begins: you will learn the basic techniques of Shibori – a Far Eastern textile art where fabrics are artfully tied, folded, pressed, or sewn before they receive their unique coloration. Dyeing is done with Indian indigo – a natural dye that requires patience. Shade by shade, vibrant blue tones with unmistakable character emerge. Not a quick effect, but a conscious process.
