For more than three decades, the Vorarlberg cult band Krauthobel has stood for authentic, self-composed and arranged songs in the Montafon dialect. With great sensitivity, humor and an unmistakable view of daily life, the musicians transform everyday stories into catchy, touching and often tongue-in-cheek songs. Their musical spectrum ranges from rocky and lively to melodic and atmospheric, to socially critical and thoughtful. With "Universum", their eleventh album, the band opens up a sonic universe that feels familiar yet shows new facets. The lyrics are poetic, honest and true to life - sometimes profound, sometimes powerful, but always characterized by that special authenticity for which Krauthobel has always stood. Musically, the band presents itself in top form: clear lines, finely crafted arrangements and a sound that unmistakably bears their signature.
