Castle Tour
What's it about?
This place breathes history! Since a castle was probably built on this hill under Emperor Barbarossa around 1180, numerous owners have lived in this place. Just like its respective owners, the building also changed its functions and furnishings inside. The two fires did the rest. From the outside, however, it was always the castle that has shaped the landscape of Wolfurt for 800 years and has become a landmark for the surrounding area. The tour of approx. 1h 30 min tells the history of Wolfurt Castle. Please note that Wolfurt Castle, as a historic building, is not barrier-free. Due to the structural conditions (e.g. steep tower stairs), sure-footedness and a basic level of physical fitness are prerequisites for participation in the tours. Please do not bring children under 8 years of age to the tours.
