It is a guarantee of fresh vitality, vitality, and sensory pleasure: the 'Wiener Johann Strauß Konzert-Gala'. Since 1996, the Austrian export hit - the original with Kendlinger's K&K Philharmonic - has captivated more than 1.5 million enthusiasts in 19 European countries - a musical fountain of youth, which even kings and emperors would truly enjoy - including cult status! In 1996, Matthias Georg Kendlinger launched this tour - one of the most successful in music history with over a million visitors so far - with the founder of the K&K Philharmoniker, the K&K Ballet, and the K&K Opera Chorus. Together with his ensembles, he receives applause and standing ovations, among others, in the concert halls of Madrid, Zurich, Oslo, Paris, Berlin, and the Vienna Musikverein. Kendlinger compiles the program annually, directs the rehearsals, and often appears at the podium. Alternating conductors include his son Max Kendlinger, Taras Lenko, and Ihor Muravyov. In selected cities, Kendlinger's K&K Ballet can also be experienced - co-founded by the unforgettable Vienna choreographer Gerlinde Dill, who choreographed for the world-famous Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert for over two decades. From 2009 to 2020, Viktor Litvinov, former ballet master of the Kyiv State Opera, followed in her footsteps. The ballet master for this year's tour will again be dancer and choreographer Marianna Stankevych. The program features, alongside the unmistakable evergreen hits of the Strauss dynasty, many rarities. Additionally, refreshing humor is a hallmark of this concert series. Of course, you can also look forward to the Danube Waltz and the obligatory encore, the Radetzky March. All in all, the Wiener Johann Strauß Konzert-Gala enchants its audience, even on Danish television DR and ZDF, where it has been broadcast multiple times.
