What's it about?
An Advent and Christmas program of a very special kind. Wolfgang Troy, together with musician Susanne Kanonier (accordion and vocals) and musician Norbert Gassner (guitar), brings a very special kind of Advent atmosphere to the audience. With lots of humor and irony, but also with a good dose of reflection, Wolfgang Troy presents his musical-poetic Christmas program "Oh Pannenbaum – Oh Tannenbaum" which offers guidance on how to cope with the annual (sometimes chaotic) Advent season. Well-known and lesser-known poems and stories related to Christmas are read and told. Ironically humorous texts by Daniel Glattauer, Helmut Qualtinger, or Loriot, dialect works by the native poet Kaspar Troy, as well as contemplative pieces by Erich Kästner, Theodor Storm, or Rainer Maria Rilke guarantee an entertaining and multifaceted evening. Susanne Kanonier and Norbert Gassner combine their distinctive interpretations of well-known melodies with the recited texts to create an emotional connection.
