What's it about?
With Ludwig van Beethoven's monumental Ninth Symphony, QUARTA sets an impressive musical sign in its anniversary year and invites the audience to celebrate this special event together. Hardly any work in music history moves people around the world as much as the "Ode to Joy". Its power, its message of community and humanity, and its emotional intensity make it a unique experience to this day.However, these concerts will be far more than ordinary performances of a famous work. When young musicians interpret Beethoven's Ninth together with young voices in the choir, something extraordinary emerges: freshness, passion, courage, and captivating energy combine with the grandeur of this music. This is precisely QUARTA's special signature. The audience can look forward to a performance full of enthusiasm, dedication, and musical intensity – an interpretation rarely experienced.QUARTA – A Success Story Like No Other10 years of QUARTA mean over 100 concerts, countless musical encounters, and moving moments on and behind the stage. Since its founding, the orchestra has thrilled audiences and participants alike. Under the direction of Christoph Eberle, performances were created that went far beyond the ordinary. Storms of enthusiasm, standing ovations, and deeply moved concertgoers have shaped QUARTA's history to this day.Learning, Playing, and Living TogetherThe orchestra camp starts on September 3rd. Within just five days, the demanding program will be rehearsed – an enormous challenge that requires the highest concentration and great commitment. Conductor Christoph Eberle is supported by excellent coaches.The choir, under the direction of Martin Lindenthal, rehearses separately in advance. Only on the last two rehearsal days do the choir, soloists, and orchestra come together to form Beethoven's mighty work into a common musical unit. Moments.With Jenni Hietala (soprano), Veronika Dünser (alto), Lukas Schmidt (tenor), and Ejnar Čolak (bass-baritone), four outstanding soloists have been secured for this project.
