Handwerk+Form 2026 Festival. Competition. Platform. October 3 to 11. Handwerk+Form is one of the defining formats for contemporary craftsmanship in the Bregenzerwald. Competition, festival, and exchange seamlessly intertwine here – bringing regional practice directly into an international context. This idea began 35 years ago, and today we celebrate a special anniversary: the 10th edition. And it will be bigger than ever! For the first time, we invite you to a 9-day festival with a comprehensive supporting program. From October 3 to 11, all of Andelsbuch will become a vibrant exhibition venue. NEW: For the first time this year, there is a U21 category, offering young craftspeople the chance to showcase their work in a professional competition environment. Exhibition tour in Andelsbuch Daily: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Experience the submitted and awarded works of the Handwerk+Form 2026 design competition. What's special about it: The tour leads through eight revitalized exhibition venues that are otherwise not publicly accessible – including an old butcher shop, a former bakery, and an old guesthouse. Public guided tours / Daily at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:30 PM Ask, understand, and discuss: Accompany our Werkraum Guides on an approximately 2-hour tour through the exhibition. Gain exclusive insights into the awarded works, discover the special features of our historic exhibition venues, and delve into the 35-year history of the competition. The exhibition is prepared in a child-friendly way, so that the little ones can playfully discover the awarded pieces of Handwerk+Form with all their senses. Children's construction site at Werkraum Haus Here, children become craftspeople themselves! In the large sandbox and with large wooden building blocks, they can build, design, and give shape to their own ideas to their heart's content. Daily: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM The Werkraum Haus gets dressed up and becomes a meeting point for everyone who brings craftsmanship and design together. Outstanding and extraordinary works will be honored at the festive award ceremony for the design competition. For the first time at the 10th edition of Handwerk+Form, young talents from the new U21 category will also be on stage. Together with the jury, participants, craft guilds, and guests, we will toast the award winners and open nine days full of encounters, impulses, and impressive craftsmanship. Date: FRI, October 02, 2026 Time: 7:00 PM–11:00 PM Location: Werkraum Bregenzerwald Invited guests Moderated exchange How collaborations succeed Inspiring people and creating good structures using the example of the Bregenzerwald cultural centers Cooperation does not happen by itself. It thrives on people, trust, and good structures. Together with representatives of the Bregenzerwald cultural centers and all interested parties, we will explore the question of what makes successful collaboration. The focus will be on questions such as: What does cooperation mean? What does it take for it to succeed? And how does the collaboration of the Bregenzerwald cultural centers work in practice? The evening will be moderated by Team Benedikt with impulses, practical examples, and experiences from accompanying change processes in companies and organizations. Together with Benedictine Father Anselm Grün, Team Benedikt developed a course program for leaders focusing on topics such as mindfulness, openness, appreciation, and joy of life. Team Benedikt became known, among other things, through its collaboration with Bodo Janssen and his value-oriented realignment of the Upstalsboom hotel group.
