Jazzorchester Vorarlberg
What's it about?
Jazzorchester Vorarlberg "Encore" feat. Phoebe Violet Quartet After numerous concerts and a variety of different programs in the anniversary season 2025/26, as well as being nominated for the Austrian Jazz Award 2026 in the category "Best Live Act," the JOV presents the current program "ENCORE" feat. Phoebe Violet Quartet. Premiered in June as the closing of the Porgy & Bess Stageband series, the JOV combines its characteristic orchestral sound with the string quartet of the outstanding musician and composer Phoebe Violet, opening up new sound worlds. The compositions by Martin Eberle, Benny Omerzell, Phil Yaeger, Tobias Vedovelli, and Phoebe Violet blend different musical styles into a multifaceted soundscape that ranges between orchestral richness and chamber music intimacy. ENCORE is much more than an encore. The program reflects two decades of musical exploration and provides a subtle closing highlight to an extraordinary anniversary season. Line-up: Violins: Phoebe Violet, Robert Olisa Viola: Marta Potulska Cello: Magdalena Eichmeyer Reeds: Martin Franz, Isabella Lingg, Andreas Borger, Klaus Peter F-Horn Trumpets: Bartholomäus Natter, Martin Eberle Trombones: Phil Yaeger, Thomas Halfer Bass: Tobias Vedovelli Keys: Benny Omerzell Drums: Christian Eberle
