EVERESTING FURX – A NEW CHALLENGE FOR A GOOD CAUSE

EVERESTING FURX – A NEW CHALLENGE FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Saturday 15 August · 05:00Zwischenwasser · vorarlberg

What's it about?

The first official cycling Everesting event. From the early morning hours at 5 AM until 9 PM, it's a non-stop ride from Batschuns to Furx until the impressive altitude of 8848 vertical meters – the height of Mount Everest – is reached. Whether solo, in a duo, or in a team with up to eight participants – this event offers a unique opportunity to explore one's own limits. A Half Everesting for solo riders is also on the program. Anyone who cycles to Furx and completes the 475 vertical meters will receive a drink from the Frastanzer brewery. The focus is not only on the sporting challenge but also on a good cause, as every conquered vertical meter counts for two charitable projects. Numerous amateur athletes have already announced their participation, including the well-known ski racer Magdalena Egger in the Ski Club Arlberg team. Daniel Federspiel, the triumphant Ötztal Radmarathon winner 2025, is also using the Half Everesting competition as optimal fine-tuning for the Ötztal Radmarathon, which follows two weeks later. A great supporting program awaits visitors at Peterhof in Furx with live music bands, DJ sound, BMX4All test rides for children, and excellent catering. Registrations for this special event are still possible at https://www.proevent-cycling.at/everesting_furx/ The organizing committee team around Hannes Jochum, Jürgen Schatzmann, Thomas Kofler, Peter Lins, and Markus Lins, expresses their enthusiasm: "The Everesting Furx is a fantastic opportunity to explore sporting limits and do good at the same time."
