Due to his dementia, Kurt no longer remembers that he and Hanne have been divorced for 20 years. When the couple temporarily takes him in, a long-lost lightness returns to their marriage. But as more time passes, their shared life begins to fall apart. A touching story about forgetting and remembering, about love and friendship, about aging and staying young, about farewell and the courage to start anew. With great sensitivity and a fine sense for the nuances, the film shows both the tragic and comic moments that aging brings and that make our lives what they are.
