Workshop "Einfach machen": Build Your Own Bicycle Trailer

What's it about?

Is your weekly shopping larger than usual or do you need to transport some boxes from point A to B? You don't always need a car for that. In this workshop, you will build your own versatile cargo trailer for your bicycle. All necessary materials and components will be prepared. Under expert guidance, you will assemble the bicycle trailer step by step. Please bring your own bicycle to the workshop so that the coupling can be installed and adjusted directly. No prior knowledge is required to participate. If you have questions about the cargo trailer or the workshop, the team is happy to assist at so@kairos.or.at. Technical data: - Weight: 8.5 kilograms - Cargo space: 60 x 80 x 30 cm, 144 liters - 16-inch plastic wheels with Schwalbe tires - Weber coupling - Two variants of the drawbar: a high and a low one (as shown in the picture) - Payload: 50 kilograms with side drawbar / 40 kg with high drawbar - Sturdy plastic box made from HDPE, rust-free with aluminum lightweight frame and stainless steel screws - Optional rain cover available for 35 euros, made from leftover truck tarpaulin pieces. To register: Due to frequent last-minute cancellations, if you cancel within three days before the event, the participation fee will be charged.
