BlöZinger - Wie im Zoo
What's it about?
BLÖZINGER: "Wie im Zoo" (Like in the Zoo) is about a marten chewing through the wires of a car, a man reaching for a Swiss Army knife, and a tree named Bertl waiting in the woods for thirty years. From there, things only get stranger. "Wie im Zoo" is an evening about the strange relationship between humans and animals, between observer and observed, between technology and the longing to simply live in the forest. In the end, it is no longer clear who is actually observing whom. It involves a self-made marten trap with an electric car drive, a letter carrier named Hubert who was briefly burned — but only briefly — and the realization that humans are probably not the crown of creation. In between: smoking young roe deer, philosophical cave paintings, and the honest statement that the audience is the most dangerous predator in the room. BlöZinger combine precise observation with absurd consistency and a fine sense for the moment when the ordinary suddenly tips into the surreal — all without a rehearsal, without a safety net, and with only two chairs.
