The native of Dornbirn studied popular music vocals at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as well as at the University of Montreal and is one of the most versatile voices in the regional jazz and pop scene. Larissa Schwärzler moves confidently between jazz, soul, and pop stylistically. With her expressive voice and fine sense of interpretation, she gives Natalie Cole's songs a personal touch without losing sight of their musical essence. The focus of the program is a tribute to the great jazz and soul singer Natalie Cole, whose musical legacy is experienced in a new sound. True to the Swingwerk motto 'familiar unfamiliar,' the concert features not only well-known songs by Natalie Cole but also surprising arrangements and lively big band grooves. The repertoire spans from classic swing arrangements to elegant jazz and soul numbers, bringing the characteristic big band sound to the stage in a contemporary, fresh interpretation.
