What's it about?

Buntspecht make pop music with poetically idiosyncratic lyrics and love acoustic arrangements. Their songs are characterized by "a dystopian romanticism, a radically wild beauty, an insane intensity, as well as a sincerity and artistic freedom that is unparalleled these days." The sextet with a DIY attitude doesn't settle for less. And the beautiful thing: The band from Vienna doesn't overstate it. On the contrary. With their current album "Konstrukt 5", released in 2025, their sixth, they recently entered the German charts. A few years ago, Buntspecht graced the Poolbar Festival for the first time.
