Detailed program of the participating shops: https://wirtschaft-montafon.at/kunst-und-einkaufsnacht/The Montafon Local History Museum is open with free admission - Special exhibition "IMWANDEL"Shed of the Local History Museum:Iris Onnen - EssentialKnown for her painting on used tea filters, Iris Onnen's new works do not represent a departure from her previous art, but rather a turn towards new forms, colors, and materials. The unadorned, only hinted at, faceless figures drawn with flowing ink have no clear contours, but rather reduce themselves to their existence in different places in different possibilities of togetherness. They interact, they merge, they become lonely and thus become symbols of human behavior at certain times in certain situations. The essential becomes visible without words, man finds himself again in the flow of his time and discovers himself as if looking into a mirror. Iris Onnen emphasizes the preciousness of the moment by using handmade paper from Indian production.Irmgard Fischbacher - WiredIron wire is a versatile, extremely useful material. It can be used to build fences or reinforce foundations. When we think of iron wire, coarser applications usually come to mind. No barbed wire without wire, no reinforced concrete without iron. We are rarely aware that wire can also be delicate, extremely flexible, and extremely attractive. Irmgard Fischbacher from Rankweil discovered this haptic side of iron wire for her art via floristry. She was fascinated by beautiful arrangements, which are unimaginable without the finest visible or invisible wiring. How she would have loved to become a florist, as she loves what is pleasing to the eye! That it did not happen was due to the family zeitgeist at the time. But the love for the beautiful things in life remained, and with it, iron wire as a means to an end. Irmgard Fischbacher delved into the possibilities of wire technology and creates delicate pieces of magical design that not only serve as decorative eye-catchers in the house and garden but are also suitable for practical and at the same time pleasing use.Photos: Diedrich Onnen
