Claire and Roland von Bergen's fireworks company is on the verge of financial ruin. With her shopping addiction and his gambling addiction, the two owners are largely to blame. A solution is urgently needed. Claire devises a murderous plan. During their ski holiday, she wants to have her husband die in an accident and collect the life insurance money. But the loyal and attentive butler Elisa sees through their intentions and thwarts one murder attempt after another. Until she realizes that Roland had the same idea and, for his part, tries to send his wife to the afterlife. Now Elisa fights on two fronts - and gets caught in the crossfire herself.
