S’Paules & s‘Seppls Haus – Dorfmuseum Fiss

What's it about?

The stately Oberinntal through-farmhouse dominates the old town center of the 1,000-inhabitant community of Fiss with its large round-arched gate, tiny windows, and intricately decorated roof structure. Like many farms in this region, it shared the fate of real division until the end, when the farm was abandoned a few decades ago. With careful interventions, the architectural team 'HG MERZ from Stuttgart (Mercedes Benz Museum)' created a 'new' museum that documents both the very diverse construction history of the house and the lives of its inhabitants.
