What's it about?

The Fasnachteingraben in Nassereith is a traditional custom that marks the end of the Fasnacht (Carnival) on Shrove Tuesday. During this event, the Fasnacht, often symbolized by a 'Ruaßler', is carried away in the form of a funeral procession. The mourners, many with black cloths, walk through the village to mourn the Fasnacht, which is then 'buried' for four years until the next Fasnacht.
