Weihnachts-Schlagertherapie
What's it about?
Does this sound familiar? You open the newspaper, turn on the computer, switch on the TV, or turn on the radio and at the same moment despair because all these channels try to convince you that the end of the world is imminent? Environmental disasters, war, and terror everywhere you look... And as if there weren't enough horrors on our planet already - Christmas comes around again every year! Advertising at every corner (which we of course obediently follow), constant consumption and mulled wine noises, light chain and decoration irritations for the overwhelmed eye, 'mood!' & 'contemplation!' in the hearts brought out of sync by the 'quietest time of the year,' and - and this is probably the bitterest drop in the overly sweet Christmas punch - the poor, mostly defenseless ear is mercilessly bombarded with acoustic phenomena that make some people's eyes water with tears of emotion, while others sweat cold panic beads on their foreheads. Wouldn't you also just like to completely disconnect from the global Christmas machinery? Escape into the idyllic world of the most beautiful hits of the 50s and 60s by Caterina, Vico, Connie, Peter, Udo, and of course Peter the Great? Sometimes I feel that way too, and that's why there is this special evening. Let's forget the worries of the world for a short while and surrender to our most longing dreams - so that we can face reality again refreshed afterwards! If it's kitsch, then truly valuable kitsch! A kind of Schlager therapy, so to speak. And I promise you in advance: politics, Florian Silbereisen, Helene Fischer, and Andreas Gabalier must stay outside!
