Wettersee | Erlanger Hütte including Hüttentaxi

What's it about?

This impressive hike leads right into the alpine high mountain landscape of the Ötztal Alps. With the taxi, we reach the Gehsteigalm from the meeting point, the starting point of our tour. From here, the path steadily ascends through the impressive mountain landscape of the Geigenkamm to the Erlanger Hütte. Above the hut lies the Wettersee – a clear mountain lake nestled between rocky peaks and alpine meadows. The high-alpine environment offers impressive views of the surrounding peaks of the Ötztal Alps. After a well-deserved rest at the Erlanger Hütte, the descent continues to the idyllic Leierstalalm; from there, a taxi takes us back to the valley.
