What's it about?

Connoisseurs of Ingebrigt Håker Flaten's thirty-year career as one of the outstanding musicians in jazz and improvised music knew from the start that this project would be something special: (Exit) Knarr, originally launched in 2020 as a commissioned project for the Vossa Jazz Festival, has developed into a dynamic, genre-spanning ensemble that seamlessly combines elements of Norwegian folk music, avant-garde jazz, and international rhythms. Since then, (Exit) Knarr has toured extensively across Europe, received recognition at renowned festivals, and established itself as a fixture in contemporary jazz. Despite changing line-ups, the band maintains its captivating energy and exploratory spirit – a true delight and exuberant joy.
