The Norwegian tenor saxophonist Marthe Lea is about to conquer the jazz world with her band. Spiritual jazz, Scandinavian folk music, influences from Ethiopian soul music or Moroccan Gnawa grooves, as well as free forms, combine to create an uplifting and unique musical mix. Lea's high-energy compositions burst with joie de vivre and leave behind any stylistic purism in improvisations. The musicians literally dance across the stage while improvising at the highest level.
