The VERBUND cross-border power plant Oberaudorf-Ebbs builds a bridge over the Inn between Tyrol and Bavaria, thus connecting two countries that are separated by the Inn in this region. Since 1992, the run-of-river power plant has reliably generated green electricity from 100% hydropower for Bavaria and Austria. Immerse yourself in the world of cross-border hydropower use on the Inn and visit the power plant on Saturday, July 25, 2026, between 10 AM and 4 PM, with its colorful fish migration aid, lovingly painted by children from the neighboring towns. Experience an exciting day on the Inn: • Guided tours of the power plant and the fish migration aid • Entertainment program for the whole family with play stations and much more • Musical accompaniment and cross-border culinary delights from Bavaria and Tyrol • Raffle with attractive prizes (e.g., an exclusive guided tour during the power plant revitalization with a look behind the scenes) Please note that the hydropower plant is not barrier-free. For the tours, sturdy shoes and good physical condition are required. No registration necessary.
