Kuhn Fu (D)

What's it about?

KUHN FU - Jazz Rock Psychedelia The madness of Kuhn Fu has a method. The band, led by the exuberant mastermind, guitarist, and composer Christian Kühn, fights with conspiratorial means against purity laws and regularly shows the jazz police the middle finger. Like a martial arts fighter who creatively uses Tourette's and ADHD, Kühn rotates on stage and encourages his bandmates, founded in Groningen, to venture into anarcho-land. Zappa meets cabaret; surf sounds and metal riffs ride the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, while Ellington, rock ’n’ roll, Stravinsky, and Moondog serve as patrons. With Kuhn Fu, only the unexpected is to be expected. Just when the audience is really grooving, a sudden turn surprises the listener. Kuhn Fu stands for shocking moments that you fall in love with, for absurdity and humor, for an almost supernatural energy between parody and a serious intent to break musical blinders.
