What's it about?
DAVID SCHEID THE KABARETTIST Suppose the world ends. Is it okay to laugh about it then? What is art, brother? What is democracy? Is satire homeopathy for those who laugh out of despair, compulsive pessimists? Is our world really in such bad shape, or is it all just hysteria? We cannot see into the future, but we can be prepared. To quote the great philosopher Nate Dog: "HOLD UP, WAIT ... TAKE A SEAT. HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR THE NEXT EPISODE". With his usual range of instruments, David Scheid reflects in The Kabarettist. Am I really a left-wing radical agitator because I believe in equality for all people?
