Mountain tour Hippoldspitze & Eiskarsee

What's it about?

We take a taxi from Lanersbach to the Vallruckalm (2,132 m), a rustic alpine hut in the rear part of this beautiful valley basin. From here, a narrow hiking trail branches off, leading us directly to the Hippoldanger, where we can first admire the Eiskarsee from a distance. We continue hiking to the Hippoldspitze (2,642 m) and enjoy a packed snack there with a magnificent panorama of the Zillertal and Tux Alps. Afterwards, we make our way to the Eiskarsee, where traces of winter can often still be seen well into early summer. We take the return path via the flower-rich Nederjoch and the Nasse Tux-Alm, before strengthening ourselves at the Geiselhöfe. The taxi then takes us back to Lanersbach.
