Stummer Schrei - Die Revision

Friday 31 July · 00:00ist. Zwei ahnungslose Spieler · tirol

What's it about?

The RevisionThe play tells of power, abuse of power, pretense, deception, greed, and lies. We learn that an auditor from the capital is on his way to uncover grievances in politics. He is said to have been in the village for days, incognito, to get an idea of local politicians for whom corruption is not a foreign word. Two unsuspecting gamblers who have lost all their money in the casino, who are no longer even able to pay their hotel bill, are mistaken for auditors by the anxious community representatives. Without the two playboys knowing what is happening to them and who the community representatives take them for, money is slipped to them from all sides and confessions are made to appease their supposed displeasure. At first still anxious that this could turn out badly for them and that they might end up in jail for it, the two gamblers quickly take a liking to their roles and fleece the mayor and his cronies like Christmas geese. At the end of an emotional theater evening, no one comes out of this unscathed. Only the audience, and that with the realization that everyone has dirt on their hands, that one should not unconditionally trust the powerful of the country. Photo: Manfred Haun
