About the play 2026: Notburga - the "Feierabendheilige" (Saint of Closing Time) There are people who are so poor, they only have money. For a long time, an old, broken angel with dirty clothes and a broken wing has lived on Rattenberg Castle Hill. He is a remnant of another time, when people saw angels instead of satellites when they looked up at the sky. Tired and - admittedly - also a bit grumpy, he tells the story of Saint Notburga, a maidservant who hung her sickle in the last ray of sunshine, thereby commanding respect for closing time. The story of a foundling, picked up by hat makers from Rattenberg, and made the stewardess of Rottenburg by the Counts of Tyrol in her youth. In the certainty that God holds his hand over her and has great plans for her, the unmarried Notburga becomes the foster mother of the beggars outside the gate of Rottenburg, whom she feeds with the remains of the count's T... according to good Christian virtue.
