"Airplane Mode Tour" James Blunt takes off again: in early November 2026, the British singer-songwriter will release his new album "Airplane Mode" via Atlantic Records — a record that looks forward and brings exactly that mix of lightness, melancholy, and sharp observation for which the musician has been appreciated for years. Accompanying the album, James Blunt will also go on an extensive tour — and the "Airplane Mode Tour" will include two stops in Austria. With the breezy single "Tastes Like Summer," James Blunt has already given a first taste of "Airplane Mode." The second release, "Weight Of It All," shows a different side of the album: more contemplative, closer to the burdens of modern life and the weight many people carry. Overall, the long player "Airplane Mode" contains twelve stories about being on the move, detours, departures, and the small and large turbulences of life. Other highlights include the anthem "Circles," which already has the potential to become a new Blunt classic, the laid-back groove of "Oh Daisy," and the raw emotionality of "Modern Love." The new album marks a return to form for an artist who continues to surprise. "Somewhere along the way, I lost myself, but I found myself again in a studio in Banbury," Blunt says about the Pig Music Studios, where most of the album was recorded. The work was created together with James Blunt's long-standing, excellently experienced live band — and you can hear that in the album. Next year, James Blunt and his band will also be touring again.
